MSRDP COMPLIANCE AND ETHICS COMMITTEEPurpose
The MSRDP Compliance and Ethics Committee (Committee) will oversee the implementation and operation of the School of Medicine's Faculty Practice Plan Compliance Program (Program) as administered by the Compliance Officer. The Committee will review effectiveness of policies, procedures, and educational programs, as well as make recommendations for Program improvement. The Committee will review trend analyses, internal reviews, and reporting processes to promote effective Program management and compliance. The Committee has the authority to establish and implement the integrity obligations incorporated into the Program.
Duties
- Develop and oversee compliance plans, including training of faculty and staff, to assure that billing and collecting comply with all local, state and federal statutes, rules and guidelines.
- Review compliance reports and recommend appropriate action to the MSRDP Board of Directors (Board).
- Review findings of UT Health Science Center's Compliance Committee and make appropriate recommendations to the Board.
- Review departmental guidelines for supervision of residents, documentation standards, and make appropriate recommendations to the Board.
- Develop and oversee ethics policies and compliance with these policies.
